How It Feels To Dream

Real dreams will make you feel at home.

Inspired.

Fired Up.

Alive.

When you are really engaged, there is nothing else you want to do.

Except to work on the dream.

The thinking, the planning, the plotting.

It will take you over.

And fuel everything else.

A juicy dream will seep into all areas of your life.

Making everything feel juicy.

The dishes are not even a pain when you are in the zone.

You can feel the blood moving through your veins.

Aliveness is not a question.

It is who you are.

You wake up in the middle of the night with ideas galore.

And then you don’t feel tired in the morning.

Because the dream is invigorating.

There is no time to be tired.

Or to feel sorry for yourself.

There is just the need, the desire – the uncontrollable urge.

To get in action.

To create.

To make it happen.

Life becomes a celebration.

You are awake – connected – vibrant.

And all is right in the world.

And when something happens that threatens the dream, you fight.

You rise to the challenge.

And you don’t stop.

Oh, you may shed a few tears, the frustration unbearable.

But then your heart opens wide and you can feel the dream again.

Healing you.

Uplifting you.

Calling you to come play.

And the joy fills you up again.

Once again, you feel at home, like yourself.  Alive.

And, there is no stopping you.

So, my question to you is this:

Is this how it is for you?   Are you engaged in your life this way, dreaming and engaged and full of life?  If not, why not?  The floor is open.  How can I help?

  1. I feel uplifted and buoyant when I dream. Dreaming is my favorite thing, other than making them come true!

It is one of the most powerful, juicy experiences ever – being in the zone, creating what you want in life. Buoyant is a wonderful way to describe it.

  2. Hi,

this is interesting: I would´nt call it dreaming. for me often dreaming is kind of negative – these are the dreams farest away – where i have no idea what are the steps to realize, or wich are kind of fictional.

But then there is this drive, these inner beliefs, sureness and visions which are life – my life- which I have to make it happen – this process really is my life. And that feels like you described.

I love you inspirational and powerful writing. It helps me to remember these powers in daily life and work.
I really think this is an awesome great project – you are doing great work!

Thanks Nora.. and yes.. dreaming can be good or bad.. if your dreams are about changing stuff we don’t like right now in our lives, but we aren’t sure how to get to where we DO want to be.. it can bring up all kinds of frustrating feelings. I think it is a bit of a tight rope walk.. you have to allow yourself to dream and wish and imagine, but at the same time LOVE where you are right now, in THIS moment.. tricky. :) Welcome to the VM community! I hope to get to know you better….
