I Am Feeling All A Buzz
Ideas baby!
I have loads of good stuff brewing over here. Some good, good stuff for all of you, which I will be talking about soon. Really soon, I promise.
Today, I just want to talk about one….
I am redoing my newsletter!
I’ve hardly been using it, even though a whole bunch of you awesome mamas have signed up. I just haven’t really known what to say that would be above and beyond what I am already rambling on about here. But, I also know that it is a great tool for staying in touch, letting you all know what is happening around here and to remind you to come back by to say hi.
The thing is that I don’t want it to be an annoyance or used just for a sales tool. Because that would be lame. So, instead, I just haven’t really done much with it. Until now!
Starting this week. Today. I am going to send out a Monday email to get you motivated as you start your week. Some of you may remember the weekly dares that I was doing for awhile. Well, I loved those, so I’ve decided to bring them back but only for my newsletter subscribers.
What is the weekly dare?
It is a short creative prompt that gets you thinking outside the box and into action, being your most extraordinary self. Which, I know, is what ALL of you want. To be amazing. To feel powerful. To be in action making your dreams come true.
So for those of you who are so kind to sign up for the newsletter, who want to stay in touch, I’m gifting you with these weekly motivations to support you in living your best life.
If you have already signed up for the newsletter, there is nothing for you to do except watch your email for the first dare arriving soon after I publish this post.
For everyone else, if you want to join in on the fun, you can hit the little box over there on the right side that says “The Weekly Dare.” Or, you can just go to this link: The Weekly Dare.
My hope is that these little weekly nudges make a difference for you and I’d love to hear about what happens when you start doing them! So, please, stay in touch.

That there is a great giveaway happening over on Soulemama today that YOU might be interested in……
Go check it out and if you feel moved to do so, I would love it if you’d help spread the word.
And I just read through some of the first comments and totally started crying! Listening to those mamas wanting so much to explore their dreams, I could feel the ache of it. I am so glad I created this space so that all of us can lift ourselves up and live with courage and passion. My heart is full today.
Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Leave a CommentWrapping Up Our Month of Intentions
All this past month I have been focusing on creating intentions. I started with looking out over this next year, but you can create an intention for your life or any aspect of your life in any given moment. It’s a tool ~ a very powerful tool ~ to help you experience life the way you want it to be. But, like any good tool, you have to use it, you have to dwell in it, you have to apply it.
And, that my friends is always the tricky part! But don’t despair! You CAN do it, I know this about you. And I also know that it won’t always be easy. But, hopefully, it WILL be worth it!
Working on your stuff is not always fun, but if you want to live present, alive, with power and truly fulfilled, it does take work. Just like if you want a sexy hot body, it’s not going to happen just by laying around and thinking about it! You have to get off your butt and exercise!
Which is why I offer the services I offer.
So you can have whatever level of support you need to get off your butt and make some awesomeness happen in your life!
Need some serious one on one, hold your hand, push you hard and love you big support? Then check out my individual coaching sessions.
Do better in a group, connecting with other like minded mamas? Then the Visionary Mom Teams are going to rock your world.
Want the one on one, but can’t commit to specific times, or the idea of talking one on one is a little scary? Then try one of the online classes.
And… coming soon ~ really, really soon, like in the next few weeks, I am going to be rolling out the first of many online workshops that you can take at your own pace, your own speed, on your own terms. I am SO EXCITED about this first workshop – all about planning out your dreams. And, I have lots of other great workshops that will get created over this next year. Yay for YOU!

Leave a Comment7 Ways To Make Your Dreams Come True
I keep saying that you have to dwell in your intention… that is how to get your intention all over you and your life, which is what will have it make a difference and get you pointed toward your dreams.
But, what exactly does that mean, to dwell?
My friend, the dictionary, defines dwell like this:
- live or stay as a permanent resident; reside.
- to live or continue in a given condition or state: to dwell in happiness.
- to linger over, emphasize, or ponder in thought, speech, or writing.
I don’t think I can say it better.
Here are seven things you can do to keep on dwelling, stay engaged and make your dreams come true…
- Talk about it. Share how you are doing with it, what is happening, where you ARE fulfilling your intention and where you aren’t. The more you talk about it, the more engaged you will be. This works, like really – no kidding, so do it. Find ways to talk about and share your intention every day.
- Think about it. Simple enough, but really important. Ask yourself often, is my intention present? What can I do to experience my intention right now? What would this situation look like if I lived it through my intention.
- Have it up in front of you. Create a display or visual reminder that you see every day, that reminds you of your intention and evokes the feelings behind your intention.
- Use your technology. Set up reminders on your computer or crackberry. Schedule them at random times, every few days or once per week. Have the reminder say something like, “Hey Lisa – How’s that intention going? Is it present right now?”
- Get a buddy. Grab a friend or other person in your life that also has big dreams. Once you both have created an inspiring intention, set up a weekly chat. On the chat, share with each other where you fulfilled your intention that week, where you struggled with it and what you want to make happen in the coming week. This is an amazing way to dwell and stay engaged.
- Take on a project. Say you are a photographer – create an intention project where you will take a photo that illustrates your intention every week. Then share it and talk about it on you blog, or facebook, or wherever you connect with people. Whatever your dreams in life, you can find a way in incorporate your intention into it and creating a project that is fun and inspiring is a great way to do that.
- Get professional help. I love how serious that sounds!! But, I do mean it. There are so many amazing classes, e-courses, workshops and coaching programs out there. If you are serious about fulfilling your intention, sometimes investing in yourself by getting some professional level support is really, really worth it. (inserting promotional plug – you can check out the various services I offer here.

Get Some Support
Your dare this week – get some support!!!
We are all just a little be too good at doing everything ourselves. Way too good.
But, I personally think it is a wee bit insane to operate this way. You can be so much more productive, so much calmer, peaceful and fulfilled, just by getting some support for whatever it is you are up to.
Support could be asking a friend to brainstorm with you.
Or having your sister watch the kiddos one day a week so you can paint.
Or putting your spouse on morning duty Saturday mornings so you can sleep in after staying up late writing your novel.
It could be setting up a weekly playdate exchange with another mom so each of you can have your own time to work on stuff.
Or it could be hiring a coach who will kick your butt and help you get your awesome idea off the ground.
If you are working on loosing weight, hire a trainer so you have someone to guide you and push you and motivate you when you just want to lay around eating doughnuts.
If you know that there are other mamas around you who want to make their own dreams happen, why not start a Visionary Mom support group? You gals could meet once per month to share your about your progress and get the support you need. Or if you don’t have other moms around you, there is always the Visionary Mom Teams.
The point is.. don’t do this dream making all by yourself! Ask for help, get some support, join forces.
Leave a CommentA little help (pretty please)
Hello to all you Visionary Moms ~
I am starting to get used to the new rhythm of my life, being in school and still doing all the other stuff I do as a mom. I am loving school! Loving it so much!
To update you a bit ~
I used to think that I couldn’t draw. That I was in fact really, really bad at it. Whenever my son asked me to draw stuff, I would avoid it whenever he’d let me off the hook. BUT, I have always wanted to draw. I have. I have even purchased many books with the intention of teaching myself, only to have those books gather dust. Getting started has just been so terrifying. (and I was pretty convinced that I couldn’t really learn anyway.)
But, the program I am in requires me to take drawing classes and I am taking my first EVER drawing class right now. I am loving it! And, I don’t suck – at all! In fact, my teacher said of one of my drawings that it was excellent. How about that?! This is a super big deal for me, shattering something I held true for myself. SHATTERING!
Is there something you hold true about yourself that it’s time to shatter?
I am loving that I set myself on this path to become a real, working artist, to explore my creativity, to go for it! It is so exciting to be discovering this whole new aspect of myself. The Artist Me. And I have to say that I am loving her.
Anyway, this is where I could use a little help from YOU…
I am finding that I just can’t get over here to post write quite as much as I would like to, and I really do want to keep things moving over here because this space is my baby and I am so passionate about us moms living our dreams. BUT, I am just not going to be able to post <reliably> very often. I want to work my butt off in school and spend some good chunks of time supporting the amazing moms on the Visionary Mom Teams, which leaves me with less time to write for all of you.
So, what I am thinking is that I will for sure post new articles, interviews, etc at least twice per week. That is what you all can count on from me and expect.
What I could use some help with is knowing what kind of stuff you most want me to write about.
What would help YOU along your path and make the biggest difference for you?
What kinds of things do you most love here at Visionary Mom? What do you look forward to or wish you could read more of? You letting me know this will help me so much and will make sure that the time I spend here is making the biggest impact FOR YOU!
So, what TWO things would you most like to see each and every week?
And, like I said, 2 times per week, will be my minimum. I will post more as I can carve out the time or as I get inspired about something. Sound like a plan?
Thank you all SO MUCH!! I have been getting some great little notes from people lately, which totally makes my day. The women who visit this website are AMAZING and it is a real joy for me to get to know you all better. I mean that. My heart is a smilin’ ~ you are all so great and knowing you makes me happy.

Leave a CommentA Peek Into The Visionary Mom Teams
I have not said a whole lot here about the Visionary Mom Teams, other than the link on my sidebar that looks like this:
But, now I want to share a bit about the teams, because, well, it is really blowing my mind!! Our first team is off and running for just the past week and we already have had awesome conversations about our families, staying motivated, sex, finding focus, the big, secret dreams and so much more. It is phenomenal!
I created this opportunity because I think that when you bring a small group of people together, all focused on making something extraordinary happen, a whole heck of a lot more can happen than if those same people were working on the same goals all by their lonesome.
Teams = Power.
Not the forcing stuff to happen kind of power, but the wind beneath our wings kind of power. The kind of power where when you want to accomplish something, you are empowered to really go for it, to make it real and there is not a ton of effort. Things move with velocity and certainty and a fluidity that makes life feel magical.
Working hard on our own can be a real bummer. Yes, there are those sizzle moments when the flood gates of creativity open and we are crazy inspired. But, then there are those other times when we have something that really truly matters to us and we SO want it to happen, but we get stopped or frustrated or overwhelmed or something. Something that sucks the air out from our lungs. That is when having a support system that you can go to, that will nurture you, feed you with good things, and push you back out there to keep on trying ~ having that kind of support makes a HUGE difference.
Enter the Visionary Mom Teams.
Here you will find yourself surrounded by the power of sisterhood. The support of like minded souls. The motivation of others pushing you to be your best self, to accomplish all that you dream about. Here you will find a big resounding YES! to all that your pretty little heart can possibly imagine, a group of woman who do not think you are crazy and that totally think you can and WILL absolutely accomplish your dreams.
And, what is better than that?
Here are some great, amazing quotes from the Team Forum just in the first week of us getting started:
I truly feel like I’ve been emerging gracefully (usually) up, up, up through some recent dark waters and have just crested the surface into the bright light of the sun! I always knew the sun was up there, and I never lost sight of it, but it’s been awhile since I’ve truly basked in it’s warmth and truth.
I tend to have a major case of creative ADD. I go full force in one direction. And then another. And then another. But I rarely see projects all the way through to the point of earning income to support our family.
As soon as I admitted to myself what I already knew, I felt really excited to get started.
I feel like a kid before Christmas, the mounting anticipation of the next four months growing and infiltrating the mood around me. It doesn’t matter if some people don’t celebrate the holiday with me; it’s still infectious. You can’t help but feel excitement.
So I just got home about 20 minutes ago from running a couple of errands. I came in the door and dh started telling me about his day. All of a sudden he stopped, looked at me quizzically and said, “Where have you been? You’re glowing!”
I’ve heard that people are more afraid of success than they are of failure. I think that there’s a lot of truth to that.
Kind of crazy awesome, huh? Already, there is a such an intimacy, a trust, a willingness to lay it out there and make life way more amazing. There is an authenticity to this team that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing that we are all here for each other, no matter what life throws our way.
I, personally, feel like I have found something that I have been looking for. A way to make a difference in that deep, permanent, forever changing the course of life kind of way. I feel like this path is the right one and the work we are doing here is important and matters and makes my heart sing.
And, here’s the deal.. I want to start a new team each month. And I am inviting YOU to become a part of this. Why? Because you are amazing and you deserve it and working together makes a difference. It makes a huge difference. Only one week in and things are starting to happen. Clarity. Focus. Motivation. It’s here and it’s real for everyone on the team. And, it can be real for YOU!
Yup, this is a sales pitch. Yup, I want you to become be a part of this. Yup to all that. But even more, I want YOU to have all the support you need to really, truly fulfill your dreams. I want you to be completely free to share your truth. And, I want to witness you living your scrumptious life full of passion and enthusiasm. I want that and I know that being on a Visionary Mom Team will make that happen for you. It will.
Details and all that good stuff can be found right here. I will see you tomorrow sometime with another amazing celebration of truth from one of the Visionary Mom Team members.. See you then! xo~Lisa

Ok, ready to get to work?
We all wish we had more time. I have never heard someone say, “Wow, I really wish there were less hours in the day.” Unfortunately, there are only 24 hours in the day. Nothing we can do about that. But, what you do with those hours is what makes the difference and, even more importantly, how you perceive those 24 hours will determine just how much you are able to accomplish in any given day.
Have you ever noticed that the more stressed out you are about time, the more you wish you had more, the more you try to cram stuff in, that time just flies by and you are left only wanting more?
But, when you can slow things down, be present to the moment, and focus on what you are working on, then your effectiveness increases and your experience of life is waaaay more enjoyable?
So, that is what we are going to work on here, slowing things down.
But, first, lets start with why you want more time. I find it really helps to be clear what about what you want before you go to work on changing things.
So, what would you do with more time? What is it you are dreaming about that has you be here, reading this, wanting to feel like you have more time in your day?
Of course there is all the practical stuff that having more time would help with.. you know – all those house projects, reading that pile of books you want to dive into, getting done the gazillion things on your to do list. Yes, more time would help with all of that.
But, I am not really interested in helping you with your to do list. What I want is to see you being able to take some time (without feeling guilty or worried or stressed about it) to work on those things that you are passionate about, that light you up, that make your spirit soar. I want to contribute to your dreams, giving you some time and space and freedom to go work on them… so you can thrive and live your most perfect life!
So, what is it you are dreaming about? What are you wishing you had more time for? That thing that wakes up your soul and puts a smile on your face and makes you say YES! I love my life!
Here is your assignment for the week:
1. Spend a few minutes in quite meditation getting present to what you are dreaming about. Feel it. Connect to it. What is your dream? Even if you don’t have a specific thing that you want to be doing, think about how it is that you want to be feeling as you go through life.
2. Write about your dreams. Spend some time writing out what you wish for in your life. What do you want to be doing, feeling, thinking, making, loving, experiencing. No one is going to be reading this, so let it all out, even those dreams that you have given up on but that creep in to your thoughts every now and then. What are your dreams?
3. Do some kind of visual art project that captures the essence of what it is that you want. It can be a painting, a photograph, a drawing, a collage, anything. Don’t worry about not being an artist. This isn’t about making something to hang in a museum. This is about you tapping into your heart and feeling what’s in there that wants to be expresses, it is about you getting in touch with what you want to accomplish.
4. Share your dreams this week with someone. It can be your partner, your kids, a friend, on your blog, etc. Open your mouth and let your dreams spill out! Open your heart and share what is in there wanting to get out.
5. Come back here and let us know what you are getting out of doing this…. what did you learn about yourself? What are you dreaming about?
That’s all there is to do this week. Get connect to WHY you want to do this work. This will set the foundation for the next 8 weeks.
Week Two ~ The Great Mind Dump and Tracking Your Time
Week Three ~ Perceptions and What Has Your Attention
Week Four ~ Find 2 Hours for Your Dreams

Slowing Things Down
We are all so busy these days..
Modern motherhood can be really crazy with soccer games, summer vacations, play dates, zoo trips, etc. Not to mention all that there is to do around the house.
Honestly, it can be exhausting.
I know there are so many mamas these days that are working hard to slow things down, enjoy the moment and savor this time with have with our kiddos. I know this is something I am constantly working toward.
Then, when you throw into the mix this desire to work on our own dreams and passions, that need to take some time for ourselves, doing things that nurture our own being, well…
We can quickly end up feeling guilty.
Guilty for wanting to “take time from our kids” or feeling guilty because we just can’t seem to figure out how to fit it all it. Guilty because we know we should be able to handle all of this without neglecting anything.
Have you noticed how the pressure to “fit it all in” is heavy upon us these days?
What can we do? Because we DO want to more productive and enjoy our lives more and take time for ourselves. We do!
Well, instead of going to work on planning better or being more organized, or working more productively, or getting stuff done faster ~ why not try to slow things down a bit?
I find that when I am on go mode.. go, go going ~ I actually get less done, I am more scattered, and I am totally NOT in the moment enjoying my days. Instead, I am in my head worrying and trying harder and beating myself up for all that I know I could (or should) be doing better.
But, when I slow things down.. be more present, pay attention to what is happening right now.. then I seem to accomplish more, enjoy life more, feel more connected to my kiddos and I feel great about who I am. I feel awesome.
There are some kick butt ball players out there that say what has them be able to hit a super fast baseball or tennis ball or whatever, is because they don’t just focus on the ball coming at them.. they watch the seams. Yes, the seams. That has the ball seem to slow down. It is going just as fast as before, but it looks like it is going slower. Focusing on the smaller detail of the seams shifts their perception and they are easier able to make contact with the ball.
This is true in our own lives. When we can shift our perception, slow things down, then life occurs more manageable, we can make contact – with whatever life is throwing at us. We aren’t just ducking, trying not to get hit in the head by the ball.
We can respond to life, experience it right here in the now, and more often than not, we can respond in ways that have us scoring home runs. What ever our own personal home runs may be.
So, that is what we are going to be working on in the free e-course that starts tomorrow. Shifting our perception of time. Getting it to slow down so we can be more effective at hitting the ball. So we can have more home runs. So we can find the time to work on our own dreams without dropping the ball!
I hope you will be joining us!!
Click here for more details and I will see you all here tomorrow for the first day of the course.
